A remarkable feat of academic endurance has been achieved by Kazeem Sanusi, a 400-level Mathematics student at the University of Ilorin, who has successfully set a new Guinness World Record for the ‘Longest Mathematics Lesson’. His marathon lecture spanned an impressive 31 hours, 42 minutes, and 54 seconds, shattering the previous record of 26 hours of continuous instruction.

The groundbreaking event, which took place at the university campus, was officially witnessed by representatives from the Guinness World Record organization, ensuring the authenticity and accuracy of the record-breaking attempt. The atmosphere was reportedly electric, with a captivated audience cheering Kazeem on throughout his extraordinary endeavor.

According to a statement released by the University Director of Information, Mr. Kunle Akogun, the momentous occasion was graced by the presence of several key university officials. Leading the supportive audience was the University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Wahab Egbewole, SAN, who was joined by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Management Services), Professor Adegboyega Fawole; the Registrar, Mr. Mansur Alfanla; the Dean of Physical Sciences, Professor Abdullahi Alafara Baba; the Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Alex Akanmu; and the President of the Student Union, Comrade Victor Agezeh, among other dignitaries.

The university statement further noted that Kazeem Sanusi is now eagerly awaiting official confirmation of his record from the Guinness World Record authorities.
