Nigerian comedian Seyi Law has publicly criticized popular music duo P-Square for their perceived lack of support for President Bola Tinubu's administration.

During a recent interview with media personality Teju BabyFace, Seyi Law accused the musical duo of hypocrisy, referencing their past political affiliations.

He recounted instances where colleagues within the entertainment industry allegedly worked against Tinubu's presidential aspirations, particularly in favor of former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo. "If APC had brought Osinbajo, you would still have used the badge of Buhari to defeat him," he stated.

Addressing the backlash he received for his own open support of Tinubu, Seyi Law specifically called out P-Square, asserting that they "are actually not saints."

"The same people who are against the APC today once danced on the stage when Buhari was inaugurated," he pointed out. "Sometimes these our same colleagues that come out to wave an umbrella today or somehow start to wave cock today or another political party are actually not saints."

He further elaborated, "The same people who are against the APC today once danced on the stage when Buhari was inaugurated. ‘E no easy ee ooooo. To sing and to dey dance and the people dey rejoice eee’, they did it for Buhari and today Tinubu is the enemy."

Seyi Law argued that P-Square's stance was inconsistent, suggesting that their support for Osinbajo would have been similarly opposed. "When these people talk I just laugh because for them they will tell you if it was Osinbajo that APC brought, that we would have supported him. Is he not the same Yoruba man? Stop being hypocrite because all of you knew that if APC had brought Osinbajo, you would have used the badge of Buhari to defeat him."l

He highlighted P-Square's performance of their hit song "E No Easy" at Muhammadu Buhopari's 2015 inauguration, contrasting it with their open support for Peter Obi and the Labour Party during the 2023 election campaign. This contrast forms the core of Seyi Law's accusation of hypocrisy.
