Fresh details have surfaced about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge, pointing to a premium design, cutting-edge materials, and high-end camera features. While the device was initially announced alongside the Galaxy S25 series at the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event in January, new leaks are painting a fuller picture of what to expect ahead of its anticipated global release.
According to well-known tech tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks), the Galaxy S25 Edge will feature titanium bezels and the yet-to-be-released Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 protection for its display. This marks a material upgrade over the Gorilla Glass Victus 2 used on the Galaxy S25 and S25+, and even a step beyond the Gorilla Glass Armor featured on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The device was showcased during MWC 2025 in Barcelona, where Samsung confirmed that it will be the slimmest model in the S25 lineup at just 5.8mm thickness and weighing only 163g.
From a performance perspective, the S25 Edge is tipped to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, a flagship chip designed for ultra-fast processing and enhanced AI capabilities. The handset is expected to ship with One UI 7 based on Android 15, and come in two storage configurations: 256GB and 512GB, both paired with 12GB of RAM.
Camera upgrades are also a key highlight. The S25 Edge will reportedly feature a 200-megapixel primary camera, supported by AI-enhanced imaging tools and productivity features. A 12-megapixel secondary sensor is expected to complete the rear setup, though additional details on front-facing cameras and camera software are still under wraps.
Display-wise, the device is said to sport a 6.6-inch screen, though resolution and refresh rate specs remain unconfirmed. Powering the phone will be a 3,900mAh battery with 25W wired charging, which positions the Edge as a sleek but capable device for all-day use.
Pricing leaks suggest the Galaxy S25 Edge will cost CAD 1,678.99 for the 256GB model and CAD 1,848.99 for the 512GB variant. This pricing places it between the Galaxy S25+ (CAD 1,438.99) and the premium Galaxy S25 Ultra (CAD 1,918.99), hinting at a strategic middle-ground offering for users seeking flagship features without the Ultra price tag.
The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to launch first in China and South Korea on May 23, with a broader rollout in the U.S. and other international markets set for May 30. The phone will reportedly debut in three colorways: Titanium IcyBlue, Titanium JetBlack, and Titanium Silver.
As anticipation builds, the Galaxy S25 Edge appears poised to carve out its niche in the crowded flagship smartphone market—balancing premium materials, advanced performance, and a svelte form factor.
