Legendary Fuji musician Saheed Osupa has made it clear that he is not letting recent controversies slide, despite receiving a public apology from Nigerian street-pop singer Portable and facing perceived disrespect from fellow Fuji artist Taye Currency.

Portable’s Copyright Clash with Osupa

The feud between Osupa and Portable erupted after the Fuji star took down Portable’s song from streaming platforms over copyright infringement. In response, Portable went on social media to insult Osupa, calling him “big for nothing” and questioning his authority.

However, after facing backlash from fans and industry figures, Portable publicly apologized to Osupa.

Taye Currency Sparks More Drama

Meanwhile, another controversy unfolded when Ibadan-based Fuji musician Taye Currency referred to Osupa as his “colleague” during a public appearance with his former boss, Pasuma. The term did not sit well with Osupa’s supporters, who saw it as a lack of respect for his status in the Fuji industry.

Osupa’s Response: “You Will Still Be Dealt With”

During a live performance, Osupa directly addressed both incidents, making it clear that apologies were not enough.

“You will still be dealt with because you think you can come for an elder. I am coming for you,” Osupa declared as the crowd chanted Portable’s name.

He then added a veiled warning to Taye Currency, saying, “Ati colleague mi, má wò rí. Mo n bò”—which translates to, “And my colleague, don’t worry, I’m coming for you.”

While it’s unclear whether Osupa’s words will translate into further action, his stance suggests that the rift is far from over. Fans and industry insiders are now watching closely to see how this brewing conflict unfolds in the Fuji and street music scenes.
