Currently completing her studies at Egg Harbor Township High School in New Jersey, Unuigbe's multiple Ivy League acceptances are a testament to her dedication and exceptional academic record. She is the daughter of Dr. Augustine Unuigbe and Dr. (Mrs.) Florence Unuigbe.
Reacting to the incredible news, her family expressed profound joy and gratitude: “We are elated, surprised, but absolutely delighted. We can only give all the glory to God for this great miracle.”
Unuigbe's accomplishments extend beyond her recent university offers. She possesses a strong academic foundation, evidenced by her previous acceptance into the highly selective Governor’s School of New Jersey program. She has also demonstrated leadership capabilities through various roles held during her high school career.
Beyond her academic pursuits, Osariemen is a well-rounded individual, participating in lacrosse and nurturing passions for creative arts, including dancing, painting, and drawing.
In recognition of her achievements and potential, she has been recently selected as a 2025 “Rising to the Top” scholar by the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Southern New Jersey Chapter.
Unuigbe's success story aligns with a positive trend highlighted in the latest Open Doors Report on International Educational Exchange. The report indicates that enrollment of Nigerian students at U.S. colleges and universities saw a notable 13.5 percent increase in the 2023/2024 academic year, reaching a total of 20,029 students.The report also commended the contributions of these students, stating: “Nigerian students bring a wealth of diversity, perspective, and academic excellence to U.S. campuses, enriching the educational experience for all.”
