Popular social media personality, Blessing CEO, has taken to the internet to share a message directed at single mothers, urging them to take a lesson from actress Iyabo Ojo’s recent actions during her daughter Priscilla’s wedding ceremony.

In a widely circulated video, Blessing praised Iyabo Ojo for putting aside personal grievances and allowing Priscilla’s biological father—despite their rocky history—to walk his daughter down the aisle. The gesture, she argued, was a powerful example of maturity, selflessness, and child-centered parenting.

"A Father Is Still a Father"

Blessing emphasized that co-parenting should always prioritize the well-being of the child, regardless of the circumstances surrounding the parents' separation. She called on single mothers not to weaponize their children in the aftermath of broken relationships, but rather to allow fathers to take on their roles—emotionally, financially, and otherwise.

“Single mothers, what did you learn from Iyabo Ojo at her daughter’s wedding? Even if you train the child alone, the man is still the one who gives the child out in marriage,” she said in her video message. “Iyabo didn’t hand her daughter over to Pauloo [her partner]; she let her biological father do it. That’s growth.”

A Call to Set Ego Aside

Blessing addressed what she described as a growing trend among “community women and feminists” who, in her view, sometimes allow ego and emotional wounds to get in the way of effective co-parenting.

“Let the father play whatever role he wants to play,” she continued. “Even if he comes just once a year, a father is still a father. Stop denying your children that connection because of your own pain.”

Encouraging Healthy Co-Parenting

The message has resonated with many online, sparking conversations about the importance of cooperative parenting post-separation. Blessing concluded her message by encouraging women to reflect on Iyabo Ojo’s example, noting that she, too, had learned a great deal from the situation.

Whether or not one agrees with Blessing CEO’s delivery, her core message rings clear: when it comes to parenting, children should come first—and that sometimes means making room for the other parent, even when the past is complicated.
