Popular Nigerian comedian Ayo Makun, widely known as AY, has shared a heartfelt reflection on the love and support he received from his daughters during a recent event in the United Kingdom, describing it as one of the most inspiring moments of his career.

Taking to social media on Tuesday, the seasoned entertainer posted touching words about how his daughters’ presence before he took the stage left a lasting impact on him. “There’s nothing quite like the joy of having my daughters come around to cheer me on just before I hit the stage,” he wrote.

AY revealed that his older daughter, Michelle, flew in from the UK to support him, but the most emotional surprise came from his younger daughter, Ayomide, whose unexpected arrival moved him deeply. “She didn’t want me out of her sight for a second,” he added.

Describing them as his “biggest motivation,” AY emphasized that their love was the true source of his confidence and the driving force behind one of his best performances to date. “Knowing they are proud of me fuels my soul and reminds me why I do what I do,” he said.

The comedian, known for blending humor with real-life moments, also reflected on the personal challenges he has faced, especially in balancing fatherhood and career amid family changes. In January, AY publicly expressed regret over the limited time he had spent with Ayomide due to his separation from her mother, and in April 2023, he confirmed the end of his nearly 20-year relationship with his wife, Mabel Makun.

Despite personal struggles, AY continues to highlight the unwavering bond he shares with his daughters, celebrating their role in his journey and growth as both a performer and a father. His story adds a deeply human layer to the life of a public figure, showing how family love remains central even amid professional highs and personal lows.
