Military personnel, special needs passengers, and Business Class travellers to board first under revised system

In a bid to enhance the overall travel experience for its passengers, Nigeria’s leading airline, Air Peace, has introduced a new boarding system prioritising military personnel, passengers with special needs, and Business Class travellers. The initiative, announced on Tuesday, underscores the airline’s commitment to service excellence, inclusivity, and professionalism.

Chairman and CEO of Air Peace, Dr. Allen Onyema, made the announcement via a statement issued by the airline’s Head of Corporate Communications, Dr. Ejike Ndiulo. Onyema emphasized that the new policy is designed to reduce boarding congestion, improve efficiency, and offer a more seamless experience for all flyers.

“Under the revised system, boarding will now follow this order: military personnel, passengers requiring wheelchairs or special assistance, and Business Class travellers,” Onyema explained.

Improved Orderliness and Comfort

The updated system aims to bring greater order to the boarding process while honoring those who serve and those who require additional assistance. By allowing these priority groups to board first, Air Peace hopes to reduce crowding and delays during boarding, creating a more organised and pleasant pre-flight atmosphere.

Onyema highlighted the broader philosophy behind the change, stating that it reflects Air Peace’s values of care, respect, and inclusiveness.

“This new boarding policy aims to reduce congestion, improve orderliness, and give customers a smoother start to their journeys,” he said.

A Customer-First Approach

The policy shift is also part of a larger push by Air Peace to build a refreshed, customer-first service culture. The airline is keen to ensure that Business Class passengers receive the premium, time-conscious service they pay for, while also showing deep respect for military service members and passengers with accessibility needs.

“This change is part of our broader effort to build a refreshed service culture,” Onyema noted. “We want to deliver excellence throughout the travel experience—from check-in to landing.”

Commitment to Service Excellence

Air Peace continues to position itself as a forward-thinking airline in Nigeria’s aviation sector. With the rollout of this new boarding protocol, the airline is not only enhancing its internal processes but also reinforcing its reputation as a passenger-focused carrier that values both efficiency and empathy.

As the travel industry evolves and passenger expectations grow, Air Peace’s move could set a new standard for domestic airlines in Nigeria and across the region.
