President Bola Tinubu has expressed his deepest condolences to Dr. Tunji Olowolafe, Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, and former Chairman of GZ Industries (GZI), following the passing of his beloved wife, Gbemisola Olutayo Olowolafe.

Gbemisola Olowolafe passed away on March 11 at the age of 63.

In his message of sympathy, President Tinubu joined the Olowolafe family in mourning the loss of a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and matriarch whose life was marked by kindness, generosity, and an enduring legacy of compassion.

The President paid tribute to Mrs. Olowolafe’s life, highlighting her unwavering support for her family and her charitable spirit, which touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

During this difficult time, President Tinubu urged his longtime friend, Dr. Tunji Olowolafe, to draw strength from the cherished memories he shared with Gbemisola and the strong family they built together. He encouraged the family to trust in God’s divine comfort and His eternal promise to those who mourn.

"Death is an inevitable fate for every individual. Yet, for people of faith, we are assured that God will not abandon us when we close our eyes in eternal rest. May your beloved wife be welcomed into the realm of everlasting light, where darkness is forever vanquished," the President said.

President Tinubu concluded by praying for God’s grace and peace to envelop the Olowolafe family and for the gentle repose of Gbemisola’s soul.
