Recently captivating audiences with a nostalgic freestyle, Grammy-nominated rapper Olamide has informed fans that more exciting content is on the horizon.

In a message shared on his X account, the acclaimed artist announced his plans to release the second volume of his EP 'Ikigai'.

In response to a fan's remark about the brevity of his new freestyle 'Idan Buruku', Olamide stated, "You’d have to wait for Ikigai vol. 2 almost here," Olamide replied

The first volume of Olamide's 'Ikigai', a term from Japanese meaning "a reason to live," achieved notable success, featuring tracks like 'Metaverse', 'Habibi', and 'Uptown Disco' with Asake and Fireboy.

This EP marks Olamide's tenth solo project, showcasing his ongoing evolution and his ability to resonate with contemporary culture.

In addition to the anticipated release of 'Ikigai' in 2024, Olamide has also collaborated with various artists, including Shallipopi, Zlatan, Khaid, Alpha P, Gimba, and more recently, the Antiworld Gangsters.

With over ten years in the music industry, Olamide has established himself as one of the foremost Nigerian musicians of the 21st century.

Beyond his success as a recording artist, Olamide is a prominent label executive, having nurtured talents such as Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold, Fireboy, and Asake through his YBNL label.
