In an interview with fellow actor Kunle Afod, the renowned Yoruba performer recounted the experience, noting that the devastating news was particularly difficult for him due to the circumstances surrounding the child's birth.
The 63-year-old actor emphasized that he came to terms with the incident as part of God's will and expressed his hope to never endure such a tragedy again.
“The saddest moment of my life was when I was called that my first child died. It was very hard on me.
“It was hard because of the situation faced during the child’s birth, but no one can question God’s authority. It was so bad that I don’t pray for it anymore.”
