At 53 years old and already a father of nine, Otor is preparing to marry three additional wives in a lavish ceremony scheduled for Sunday in Uzere, Delta State, which will increase his total to four wives.
“I want to have 32 children, and until I realise that dream, I won’t leave this earth,” Otor stated in an interview with Saturday Vanguard.
Growing up in a polygamous household, Otor has fully embraced this lifestyle, reflecting on the positive relationships he experienced with his father's four wives during his upbringing.
“Polygamy was never a problem in our home. We bonded well and still maintain a healthy relationship,” he remarked.
Regarding his choice to host a single reception for his three new wives, Otor explained that it is a practical decision to save costs. “I’ve already paid their bride prices, and we’ve been living together. The event is just a reception. Members of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria will provide music, and logistics for refreshments are finalised. It will be a big day,” he noted.
Otor also intends to marry two more women in the near future, ensuring that his wives coexist peacefully. “If there’s a dispute, I mediate in the presence of the others so everyone learns from the resolution. My wives are independent; one is a hairdresser, another a caterer, and one a trader,” he shared.
Despite his age, Otor remains confident in his ability to meet his marital responsibilities. He credits his energy to a wholesome diet, steering clear of rice and aphrodisiacs. “I avoid rice because it diminishes a man's strength. My diet keeps me healthy and prepared. I visit each of my wives weekly, ensuring that none of them feels overlooked,” he concluded.
