Wizkid's latest album, 'Morayo', has made its debut at number 98 on the Billboard 200 chart. This achievement was shared by Chart Data on X on Monday, highlighting that the album sold an impressive 13,000 units in its opening week.

The announcement stated, “Wizkid’s ‘Morayo’ debuts at #98 on this week’s Billboard 200 (13K sold).”

Released on November 22, 'Morayo' serves as a tribute to Wizkid’s late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, who passed away in August 2023.

The album includes a diverse selection of tracks such as ‘Troubled Mind’, ‘Karamo’, ‘Kese (Dance)’, ‘Bad Girl’, ‘Time’, ‘Piece of My Heart’, ‘Break Me Down’, ‘Bend’, and ‘A Million Blessings’. Additional songs featured are ‘Après Minuit’, ‘Bad for You’, ‘Soji’, ‘Don’t Care’, ‘Slow’, ‘Lose’, and ‘Pray’.

Wizkid collaborated with various talented artists on this project, including Asake, Brent Faiyaz, Jazmine Sullivan, Anaïs, and Tiakola.

'Morayo' continues the momentum of Wizkid’s previous successes, such as his 2020 album 'Made in Lagos', which recently achieved the status of the most-streamed Nigerian album on Apple Music. This earlier album also received RIAA gold certification in 2022 after surpassing 500,000 sales in the United States.

Wizkid, born Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, gained international fame with his debut album 'Superstar' in 2011. He has since released other successful albums, including Ayo (2014), Sound from the Other Side (2017), and More Love, Less Ego (2022). His accolades include a Grammy Award in 2021 for his collaboration with Beyoncé on the acclaimed track ‘Brown Skin Girl’.
