The renowned Nigerian rapper, Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike, professionally known as Phyno, has shared his insights regarding the obstacles that celebrities encounter in the context of marriage.

The artist, known for his hit "Alobam," characterized the music industry as a "jealous and demanding" profession, highlighting the difficulties of balancing it with marriage or other careers.

He noted that many celebrities experience a decline in their careers after tying the knot.

During a recent episode of the In My Opinion podcast, Phyno stated, “Check everybody, statistically, I feel so [most celebrities’ careers crash when they get married].

Music is inherently a jealous profession, which is why some individuals choose to leave school to pursue it full-time.

Those who manage to balance both deserve recognition, as it is no easy feat. Often, individuals reach a certain level of fame and then return to their studies to pick up where they left off, as one must truly commit to one path. Music demands significant time and effort.

In addition, he said the essence of music lies in the personal experiences one conveys through their work—unless they rely on songwriters.

“Another thing about music is that it is what you pass through that you put into it—life experiences—except if you use songwriters. But if you write your songs, you can’t be talking about happiness when you’ve got a girlfriend that’s stressing you.”
