During a recent interview conducted by Naija FM, Shallipopi provided a detailed explanation for his decision to collaborate with Olamide on his track titled 'Order.' He emphasized the profound influence and widespread popularity that Olamide commands within the Nigerian street music scene.
“Baddo [Olamide] is the father and king of Nigerian street music. So I had to feature him on ‘Order’ because it is a street song and Olamide owns the street,” he said.
Shallipopi confirmed in a recent interview that he has officially left Dapper Music.
He clarified that his departure was due to the conclusion of his contract and dismissed any rumors suggesting a conflict with the label, stating that he maintains a positive relationship with them.
This transition coincides with Shallipopi's launch of his own label, Plutomania Records, earlier this year.
Plutomania, a burgeoning entity in the Nigerian music industry, has recently welcomed two new artists, Zerry DL and Tega Boi, to its roster.
This departure marks a significant development, as it represents the second notable exit from Dapper Music within a few months, following Seyi Vibez's departure in August.
