The Ballon d'Or recipient, Rodri, maintains a positive outlook regarding his potential return to the field this season, despite the unfortunate ACL injury he sustained.

Initially, it was anticipated that the Manchester City midfielder would be unable to participate for the remainder of the season following his surgical procedure in September. However, he has since demonstrated remarkable progress during his rehabilitation.

"My goal is to return this season. Maintaining a positive mindset is crucial for me; I refuse to give up on the season," Rodri shared on "The Rest Is Football" podcast. "I aim for a recovery period of six to seven months."

Rodri sustained a right knee injury during Manchester City's 2-2 draw with Arsenal in September. ACL injuries typically require six months to a year for full recovery, and City manager Pep Guardiola had previously stated that Rodri's season was over after the operation.

In his absence, City has faced challenges, currently enduring a six-match winless streak across all competitions.
