The announcement was made by Abubakar Garima, the National President of IPMAN, during a press briefing in Abuja on Monday, following a meeting of the Association's National Working Committee.
He emphasized that this collaboration will guarantee a consistent and affordable supply of PMS products across the country.
“After discussions with Aliko Dangote and his management team in Lagos, we are excited to share that Dangote Refinery will supply IPMAN with PMS, AGO, and DPK directly for distribution to our depots and retail locations,” Garima stated.
He encouraged IPMAN members to support Dangote Refinery, highlighting the advantages of backward integration and its beneficial effects on Nigeria’s foreign exchange market.
“IPMAN members should depend on Dangote Refinery and local refineries for white products, which will create additional job opportunities and align with President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda.”
This agreement marks the conclusion of several months of negotiations and is anticipated to enhance efficiency, affordability, and economic development.
The Dangote Refinery, recognized as the largest in Africa and Europe, has already begun producing petrol, diesel, and aviation fuel, with intentions to supply products to over 30,000 IPMAN members and 150,000 retail outlets nationwide.
This initiative seeks to eradicate intermediaries, reduce costs, and guarantee a dependable supply.
