Galatasaray's pursuit of Victor Osimhen from Napoli is progressing, with the club securing a sponsor to cover a substantial portion of the transfer fee.

As reported by Milliyet, the Turkish champions are considering reducing the transfer fee from €75 million to €70 million, factoring in previous payments. They have engaged in discussions with two prominent Turkish companies, one of which has agreed to provide financial support in exchange for Galatasaray covering a percentage of the remaining cost.

It has been indicated that Napoli is seeking €25 million upfront, with the remainder to be paid in two installments, prompting Galatasaray to explore funding options.

In light of Fenerbahçe's interest in the Nigerian forward, expressed through their coach José Mourinho, Galatasaray is moving swiftly to leverage their advantage. Initially relieved by Osimhen's statement, “I am very happy here,” they are now focused on persuading Napoli to agree to the sale.

Fenerbahçe has also shown interest in Osimhen, with agent Mirsad Türkcan initiating discussions to address the player's transfer fee. They have approached several organizations and received encouraging feedback from a potential sponsor. Although Fenerbahçe has not yet met with Osimhen, they are optimistic about securing his signature, bolstered by a strong relationship with Napoli established during the Eljif Elmas transfer.

Acquiring Osimhen represents a significant investment, with the transfer fee estimated at €75 million. The player, who currently earns €12 million annually, including image rights, would command €36 million over three seasons.

The President of Galatasaray, Dursun Özbek, is steadfast in his pursuit of finalizing the transfer of Osimhen. He is collaborating closely with a dedicated three-member team comprising Kavukcu and Buruk. The team is scheduled to convene with George Gardi in Italy to engage in discussions pertaining to the subsequent stages of the transfer process.

Since joining Galatasaray in September, Osimhen has demonstrated exceptional performance, contributing eight goals and four assists in nine matches across various competitions.
