Ethiopian Airlines, recognized as Africa’s premier aviation group, is delighted to announce its achievement of the Four-Star Global Airline award at the 2025 APEX Passenger Choice Awards. This honor underscores Ethiopian Airlines’ steadfast dedication to providing services that align with international standards for its passengers traveling to over 140 global destinations.

As a SKYTRAX four-star global airline, Ethiopian Airlines takes pride in receiving this distinction at the 2025 APEX Passenger Choice Awards, further solidifying its status as a customer-focused service provider.

“We are immensely proud to once again be awarded the esteemed ‘Four-Star Global Airline’ title,” stated Mr. Mesfin Tasew, CEO of Ethiopian Airlines Group. “This recognition highlights our commitment to maintaining the highest service standards. We are excited to see our hard work acknowledged, which inspires us to pursue even greater accomplishments.”

The APEX Five Star and Four-Star Airline Awards are unique global honors based solely on unbiased, third-party passenger feedback and insights gathered through APEX’s collaboration with TripIt® from Concur®, the leading travel-organizing application worldwide. For the 2025 Awards, passengers rated over one million verified Passenger Name Record (PNR) flights across more than 600 airlines globally, using a five-star rating system.

Additionally, the APEX Five Star and Four-Star Airline Awards undergo independent verification by a professional external auditing firm. In 2025, the evaluation criteria have been enhanced, allowing the APEX Five Star award to be granted solely to the Top 40 airlines worldwide, representing less than 7% of rated airlines.

Likewise, the APEX Four Star award has been refined to include the next 50 airlines globally, indicating that only 8% of airlines meet these rigorous standards. This achievement is a significant milestone for Ethiopian Airlines, positioning it among the elite in the aviation sector.
