Attorneys representing Sean “Diddy” Combs have raised concerns regarding the utilization of private legal documents obtained from his jail cell by prosecutors. They allege that these actions are aimed at prolonging his incarceration until the trial scheduled for May.

In recently submitted documents to the Manhattan federal court, attorney Marc Agnifilo expressed strong disapproval of the actions taken by federal authorities, describing them as "egregious governmental conduct."

The defense team asserts that officials conducted a search of Mr. Combs' jail cell and seized documents that fall under the protection of attorney-client privilege. As per the court filing, these documents should not have been accessible to the prosecution.

Agnifilo further contends that these documents were then used to prevent the music mogul from being granted bail.

“This situation raises serious concerns that must be addressed without delay,” Agnifilo stated to Judge Arun Subramanian, who had set a bond hearing for Friday.

Agnifilo has called for an “immediate hearing” to determine who authorized the search of Combs’ cell and permitted the seizure of his documents and personal belongings.

At 55 years old, Diddy faces the possibility of spending decades in prison.

In March, federal agents conducted searches of his residences in Los Angeles and Miami, confiscating hundreds of explicit videos and a significant amount of sexual paraphernalia, including 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant. The U.S. Attorney’s Office has claimed that the sex parties he hosted were not always consensual.

Combs has been charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for the purpose of engaging in prostitution.

In addition to these criminal charges, he is also facing numerous civil lawsuits from alleged victims, including two men who claim they were minors, aged 10 and 17, when they were sexually assaulted by the music mogul.

Combs has consistently denied any wrongdoing, pleading not guilty and asserting that all sexual interactions were consensual.

He is seeking to be placed under house arrest with a bond package of $50 million.
