The Executive Chairman of the Delta State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Samuel Mariere, met with the Ogoma Primary School team from Ogwashi-Uku on Thursday to discuss their upcoming participation in the finals of the Basic Education Sports competition in Abuja.

Mariere expressed his confidence in the team's ability to succeed and encouraged them to strive for victory. He noted that the team had received extensive training and logistical support in preparation for the event. He also emphasized the Oborevwori Administration's commitment to promoting both sports and education.

The Delta State team has traveled to Abuja to compete against 28 other schools from across the country in the National Basic Education Sports Finals. While extending his best wishes to the state champions, Mariere reiterated the commitment to fostering sports development from the grassroots level.

He emphasized that the state will continue its efforts to nurture young talent, aligning with the Oborevwori Administration's vision for advancing education and sports. Delta State aims to ensure that all children have access to quality basic education, providing a free and functional learning experience that prepares them for meaningful lives.
