In reference to the Premier League match between Brentford and Everton that took place over the weekend, Brentford Football Club has effectively contested the red card given to midfielder Christian Norgaard.

During the match, Norgaard, a Danish international player, was shown a direct red card after a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) review concluded that he had committed a severe foul. The incident occurred when Norgaard attempted to poke the ball into the net but inadvertently made contact with the knee of Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

This incident transpired in the 41st minute at Goodison Park, where Brentford managed to secure a 0-0 draw.

On Wednesday, the Football Association confirmed that Brentford's appeal was successful, enabling Norgaard to participate in the upcoming three matches instead of serving a suspension.
