Valo plans to initially provide charter services for aircraft owners, starting with a Gulfstream G550 owned by a client from Kuwait. The company aims to expand its fleet management to include up to 15 aircraft within the next two years. CEO Hanna Hakamo expressed her view that Bahrain is significantly lacking in business jet services.
Hakamo also mentioned that the process of acquiring the AOC took approximately two years, as the existing regulations were primarily designed for scheduled airline operators. She clarified that Valo does not intend to own any aircraft.
In addition to air charter services, Valo Aviation provides business aircraft sales, management, maintenance, and flight operations support. The company is in the process of constructing a hangar at Bahrain International, which will enable it to operate as a full-service provider. Furthermore, Valo is seeking certification under the Air Navigation Technical Regulations (ANTR) 145, which is the local equivalent of EASA/FAA Part-145 approval.
