Boeing and Avia Solutions Group, a prominent global provider of ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance, insurance) services, are pleased to announce their initial order for 40 737-8 aircraft, with the potential to acquire an additional 40 in the future.

Avia Solutions Group possesses 11 air operator certificates (AOCs), including Avion Express, Smartlynx, Klasjet, Air Explore, BBN, Ascend Airways, and Skytrans, among others. These AOCs operate year-round in over 60 countries, providing services to various scheduled airlines and tour operators.

"As the largest ACMI provider in the world, transporting over 35 million passengers annually for our clients, we are dedicated to a strategic plan to expand our capacity to address our customers' seasonal demands. Our initial order with Boeing is a fundamental component of this strategy," stated Gediminas Ziemelis, Chairman of Avia Solutions Group. "This marks a significant milestone for Avia Solutions Group and signifies our entry into a phase of consistent growth. The addition of these 737 MAX aircraft will strengthen the fleets of our airlines, providing their customers with enhanced operational flexibility and improved fuel efficiency."

The 737-8 is recognized as the most adaptable single-aisle aircraft in the market, capable of operating profitably on both short- and medium-haul routes. This adaptability is essential for an ACMI operator like Avia Solutions Group, allowing it to offer extra capacity to airlines during peak travel seasons or to assist operations during unforeseen aircraft or personnel shortages.

"ACMI providers like Avia Solutions Group play a vital role in delivering flexible capacity to meet the ever-changing demands of our industry. We are privileged that Avia has chosen Boeing aircraft to fulfill that demand for its customers," remarked Brad McMullen, Boeing's senior vice president of Commercial Sales and Marketing. "By opting for the 737-8, Avia Solutions Group is aligning with its customers' objectives to operate increasingly fuel-efficient fleets that enhance the passenger experience."

The 737-8 has a seating capacity that ranges from 162 to 210 passengers, contingent upon its configuration, and it boasts a range of up to 3,500 nautical miles (6,480 km). Alongside enhanced environmental efficiency for operators, passengers aboard the 737 MAX enjoy features aimed at fostering a spacious and comfortable atmosphere, such as the Boeing Sky Interior and adjustable LED lighting.
