Ademola Lookman did not participate in training on Saturday as the Super Eagles began their preparations for the sixth matchday of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Rwanda's Amavubi.

According to Promise Efoghe, the media officer for the Super Eagles, Lookman sustained an injury during the team's recent 1-1 draw with Benin Republic on Thursday.

He was substituted by Frank Onyeka towards the end of that match.

Lookman's fitness for the upcoming game against Rwanda will be evaluated during the Super Eagles' final training session on Sunday.

Furthermore, Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina has been released from the squad due to an injury sustained during the match against Benin Republic.

Regrettably, goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has also departed the camp following the passing of his father.

The Super Eagles are scheduled to face Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Monday.
