Spotify's got your back for all your music cravings, even when you're not connected to the internet. Starting today, they're rolling out Offline Backup, giving Premium users around the globe a new way to enjoy tunes without having to download them.

Nearly half of Spotify's Premium subscribers worldwide have already taken advantage of the offline feature to listen to their favorite tracks.

The digital music platform that provides access to millions of tracks stated, "When the need for music is high and you find yourself offline, Spotify has you covered. Beginning today, we’re launching Offline Backup, bringing Premium users globally another way to keep listening to music offline, no downloads required. "

Nearly half of our Premium listeners globally have used Spotify offline to listen to their favourite audio.

With Offline Backup, we’re giving users another way to access music offline without using any extra data or storage. Here’s how it works:

  • We take your queued and recently streamed tracks and create one easy-to-access playlist that is unique to you.

  • Offline Backup includes tracks already stored on your device as part of your regular listening on Spotify (also known as cache).

    • Tip: Looking for a certain vibe? Users have the ability to filter and sort songs within the playlist by artist, mood and even genre!

  • The playlist evolves as you continue to listen, so you’ll always have something new.

You can find more info on our blog, For the Record, and see HERE for imagery to include in your story. More details on how to find Offline Backup are included below. Please reach out with any questions!
