Real Madrid's Thibaut Courtois and Rodrygo are expected to be sidelined for the upcoming Clasico against La Liga leaders Barcelona on Saturday due to injuries.

In their recent Champions League match, Los Blancos secured a 5-2 victory over Borussia Dortmund, but it came at the expense of goalkeeper Courtois. Madrid announced on Wednesday that Courtois has sustained an adductor injury in his left leg, with Andriy Lunin set to take his place as the usual substitute. Lunin had previously filled in for Courtois earlier this month when the Belgian experienced a minor hip issue.

Rodrygo, who appeared to be injured during the latter part of the match against Dortmund, has been reported by Madrid coach Ancelotti to have a "muscular injury." Spanish media indicated on Wednesday that Rodrygo is likely to miss the clash with Barcelona due to a hamstring problem. Currently, the reigning champions sit in second place, trailing Hansi Flick’s Barcelona by three points.
