Boeing extends an invitation to Keyamo to participate in the Airline Economics Conference in Dublin, aiming to enhance connections within the industry.
To enhance Nigeria's aviation sector, Boeing has invited Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, to attend the forthcoming Airline Economics Conference in Dublin, Ireland.
Set to take place from January 12 to 15, 2025, this event will offer Minister Keyamo a valuable opportunity to connect with global aircraft leasing firms and showcase the recent progress made in Nigeria's aviation industry.
In his correspondence, Ibekwe emphasized the significance of the conference as a chance for Minister Keyamo to directly communicate Nigeria's developing aviation infrastructure and its ambitious objectives to lessors. Boeing intends to facilitate meetings between the Nigerian delegation and leading executives from leasing companies.
This effort also involves collaboration with African financial institutions, such as the Africa Trade Insurance Agency (ATIDI), to create credit enhancement products specifically designed for Nigeria. These products aim to provide additional financial security to international lessors, thus easing the process of aircraft leasing for Nigerian airlines.
Ibekwe recommended that the delegation be kept small and focused, emphasizing Nigerian airlines that are actively seeking to lease new aircraft within the next two years. This approach is intended to showcase tangible business opportunities and highlight Nigeria's readiness for growth in the aviation sector.
As Nigeria aims for swift advancements in aviation, the conference is anticipated to be a crucial platform for establishing international partnerships, obtaining financial guarantees, and positioning the nation as a burgeoning aviation hub in Africa.
