Huawei, a prominent leader in global technology, has unveiled an innovative addition to its smartphone collection—the HUAWEI Mate XT, which has been recognized as the Best Smartphone worldwide.
Prior to its launch, this groundbreaking device garnered over eight million pre-orders. Despite the base model being priced at $2800, the scarcity and high demand led to resale prices exceeding $20,000 on the Chinese black market for those fortunate enough to pre-order.
While international deliveries may experience delays, Nigeria has been fortunate to receive three units of this advanced smartphone. Recently, senior representatives from Huawei showcased a sample of the cutting-edge device to Mr. Leo Stan Ekeh, Chairman of Zinox Group and Konga Group, at the Zinox Group Corporate Headquarters located at Yudala Heights, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Ekeh had the privilege of experiencing a device that integrates analytics and AI, tailored to enhance the lifestyle of the modern individual in the 21st century.
Huawei officials indicated that the presentation to Ekeh was a tribute to his significant contributions and pioneering efforts in Nigeria’s technology landscape, which also impacts Africa’s digital evolution.
Expressing his gratitude for being the first Nigerian to interact with the device, Ekeh thanked the Huawei team for the recognition. He shared his previous interest in acquiring units of the smartphone but acknowledged the overwhelming global demand and limited supply.
While unveiling the smartphone in front of his guests and staff, Ekeh stated: “This extraordinary innovation inspires me to pursue longevity and embrace the opportunities that technology offers. Thank you, Huawei, for your remarkable contributions to the industry. Our partnership will endure.”
