Nigerian artist Ayra Starr has achieved a significant milestone, amassing over 2 billion streams on Spotify across all credits, as reported by the Spotify tracking platform, Kworb. 

This remarkable achievement was announced on October 10, 2024, just months following the release of her second studio album, The Year I Turned 21, which has garnered more than 500 million streams on the platform.

Ayra Starr's success positions her among an elite group of Nigerian artists, including Burna Boy, Rema, Tems, Wizkid, CKay, and Davido, all of whom have also exceeded 2 billion streams on Spotify.

Additionally, it is noteworthy that Ayra Starr received four nominations for the 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV EMAs), solidifying her status as one of Nigeria's leading music stars.
