Nasiru Bolaji Lawal, widely recognized as Nasboi, has transitioned from a popular content creator to a musician with the release of his debut extended play, titled ‘In Nasboi I Trust.’ This 9-track EP became available on various streaming platforms on Thursday.

The project boasts an impressive lineup of featured artists, including 2Baba, Chike, Falz, Pheelz, Wande Coal, and Joeboy. The tracks included in the EP are ‘Ajo’, ‘Could This Be Love’, ‘Small Money’, ‘Ashewo Boy’, ‘Short Skirt’, ‘Confession’, ‘No Be So’, ‘My Love’, and ‘Umbrella.’

Nasboi initially rose to fame through his comedic skills, particularly with a viral video that parodied Grammy-nominated artist Davido, which significantly boosted his popularity.

In a recent interview, he discussed the financial benefits of social media influencing and skit-making.

He admitted that he once believed successful skit makers like Sydney Talker were involved in internet fraud until he entered the industry himself.

During his appearance on the Bahd And Boujee Podcast, co-hosted by reality star Tolanibaj and actress Moet Abebe, he noted that many still wrongly associate skit makers and influencers with fraud due to a lack of understanding of the creative industry's profitability.

Since then, he has continued to entertain audiences with his comedic skits while gradually venturing into music.

His musical career began with the release of his debut single ‘Umbrella’ in November 2023, featuring Wande Coal, which quickly became a sensation and sparked the viral “Umbrella Challenge” on social media.

Following this success, Nasboi released ‘Small Money’, produced by Deeyassobeatz.

In July, he was honored with the ‘Force of Virality’ award at this year’s Trendupp Awards.
