IDEMIA Smart Identity has officially launched a comprehensive multi-channel marketing initiative aimed at collaborating with other industry leaders to promote awareness for International Identity Day. This observance, established on September 16, emphasizes the critical significance of identity. The date holds particular importance as it corresponds with the UN Sustainable Development Goal 16.9, which aspires to ensure that everyone has a legal identity by the year 2030.
The theme for International Identity Day 2024—celebrating the right to visibility—serves as a crucial reminder that 850 million individuals globally still lack a legal identity, leaving them marginalized and unseen by society.
The campaign by IDEMIA Smart Identity showcases a diverse array of employees who are stepping forward as advocates for the mission of universal identity provision. With the slogan “I am visible – are you?” the team at IDEMIA Smart Identity aims to highlight the empowering nature of a trusted legal identity, which is essential for fostering inclusion, protection, and freedom for all.
