Burger King Nigeria, a prominent Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) chain, achieved a notable milestone with the launch of its inaugural airport outlet at Muritala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2 (MMA2) in Lagos on August 30, 2024.

This entry into the airport sector is a key component of the brand’s strategic growth initiative, designed to improve convenience for customers and capitalize on the vibrant travel industry.

The MMA2 location is ideally situated to serve the large volume of travelers frequenting one of Nigeria’s busiest airports, providing a distinctive dining experience that combines Burger King’s renowned global standards with local culinary influences.

“We are thrilled to introduce our signature quality and convenience to the airport environment,” stated Rushdi Ibrahim, Managing Director and CEO of Allied Food Confectionery Services, the entity behind Burger King Nigeria. “Our expansion has been impressive, with 16 restaurants launched in just 33 months. We are dedicated to extending our brand throughout Nigeria.”

To commemorate the opening and enhance customer interaction, Burger King Nigeria has collaborated with Ibom Air for an exciting promotional campaign.

Customers who make a purchase of 7,000 naira or more at the newly opened MMA2 outlet will have the chance to participate in a lucky dip, where they can win a domestic return ticket with Ibom Air.

Aniekan Essienette, the Group Manager of Marketing and Communication for Ibom Air, shared his excitement about the collaboration, stating, “We are pleased to partner with another esteemed brand. This collaboration is in line with our goal of delivering outstanding customer experiences.”

Lerato Makume, Marketing Director for Burger King Nigeria, remarked, “This collaboration benefits both brands. Our aim is to reward our loyal customers and improve their travel experiences.”

The launch of the new outlet highlights Burger King Nigeria’s dedication to expanding its presence and catering to the diverse needs of its customer base.

By prioritizing quality, convenience, and customer satisfaction, the brand is positioning itself to become a leading player in Nigeria’s quick-service restaurant sector.
