WWE’s Friday Night SmackDown will make history by broadcasting live from Germany for the first time, paving the way for the eagerly awaited premium live event, “Bash in Berlin,” scheduled for Saturday.

This landmark event will take place at the Uber Arena in Berlin, and fans can experience all the action live on the WWE Network Channel (GOtv ch 68) beginning at 7 pm on Friday.

Here is a preview of what awaits you.

SmackDown Showdown:

Last Friday, LA Knight successfully defended his United States Championship Title against Santos Escobar.

This week, Knight is raising the stakes by issuing an open challenge, inviting anyone courageous enough to take a shot at the title. Who will rise to the occasion? Tune in to discover the answer.

Tensions are escalating as Baron Corbin and Santos Escobar are set to face off following their backstage altercation after Escobar's recent loss.

Additionally, the ongoing rivalry between Andre and Carmelo Hayes is poised to intensify as they prepare to battle in the ring.

After weeks of buildup, Nia Jax will finally put her title on the line against her formidable opponent, Michin, who disrupted her SummerSlam festivities with a vicious Kendo Stick assault. This is a match you won't want to miss.

Bash in Berlin:

The anticipation has reached its peak—WWE’s highly anticipated event, “Bash in Berlin,” is set to commence this Saturday. Be sure to catch the live broadcast on GOtv channel 68, with the pre-show festivities beginning at 5 pm.

World Heavyweight Champion Gunther vs. Randy Orton

In the evening's headline match, Randy Orton seeks to etch his name in history by challenging World Heavyweight Champion Gunther for the opportunity to secure his sixteenth world title.

A highly anticipated showdown is set as World Heavyweight Champion Gunther returns to Europe to take on Randy Orton in a one-on-one match.

Gunther captured the World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam by defeating Damian Priest, but his path to the championship was marked by a contentious King of the Ring victory over Orton in Saudi Arabia.

Following Gunther’s title win, The Viper made a surprising appearance on Monday Night Raw, announcing that Adam Pearce had granted him a title shot at Bash in Berlin. The stipulation is that the winner will remain on Raw, while the loser will move to SmackDown.

The Ring General embraced this challenge, setting the stage for an epic World Heavyweight Title Match in Germany.

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens

Additionally, in another featured bout, Cody Rhodes will face off against Kevin Owens for the Undisputed WWE Championship, while CM Punk goes head-to-head with Drew McIntyre in a highly personal and intense grudge match.

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is set to defend his title at WWE Bash in Berlin against his close ally, Kevin Owens.

Owens has been engaged in a long-standing rivalry with The Bloodline for over four years. Following Rhodes’ victory over Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam, he extended an invitation to Owens for a match at WWE Bash in Berlin.

The two competitors have faced each other in singles action previously, in early 2022, shortly after Rhodes made his remarkable return to WWE.

On that occasion, Rhodes secured a count-out victory over Owens.

As a fighting champion, Rhodes has successfully defended his title against notable opponents such as Sikoa, AJ Styles, and Logan Paul.

Will Rhodes maintain his status as Undisputed WWE Champion, or will Owens capture the world title for the second time in his career?

Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley vs. “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio & Liv Morgan (Mixed Tag Team Match)

An enraged Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley are seeking vengeance as they face off against “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio and Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan in a Mixed Tag Team Match at WWE Bash in Berlin. At SummerSlam, “Dirty” Dom shocked the WWE Universe by betraying Mami, aiding Morgan in retaining her title. He further humiliated Priest and Ripley by celebrating with a kiss for the champion after the match. Later that night, Finn Bálor delivered another unexpected twist by causing Priest to lose the World Heavyweight Championship to Gunther, effectively dismantling The Judgment Day as it was known.

On Raw, Bálor, Mysterio, Morgan, JD McDonagh, and Carlito reformed a new iteration of The Judgment Day, directly challenging Priest and Ripley. As two of the most formidable members of the previous dark faction, Priest and The Eradicator are eager for retribution and are determined to claim it against Dominik and Morgan in their upcoming Mixed Tag Team Match.

Fyre and Dawn captured the championship at WWE Clash at the Castle in Scotland, defeating Belair, Cargill, Shayna Baszler, and Zoey Stark in a Triple Threat Tag Team Title Match.

Belair and Cargill, a formidable duo, are determined to reclaim their titles, but will they be able to withstand the formidable presence of The Unholy Union? Tune in to WWE Bash in Berlin, streaming live on Saturday, Aug. 31, at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT on Peacock in the United States and on WWE Network in other regions.
