Sterling Bank Recognized for its Positive Influence on Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises
Sterling Bank Limited has been recognized as a multiple
award winner at the recent fourth Development Bank of Nigeria Service
Ambassadors Award Ceremony and Dinner held in Lagos.
According to a statement released by the bank on Wednesday,
it secured victories in three categories: DMB with the Highest Impact on Youth,
DMB with the Highest Impact on Women MSMEs, and the prestigious DBN Platinum
Service Award.
The DBN Platinum Service Award, the evening's highest
accolade, included a technical assistance grant of N5 million.
This award ceremony serves as a vital platform to honor and
promote financial institutions that have made significant contributions to
funding MSMEs, thus aiding in job creation and economic diversification.
Commenting on this achievement, Edward Ogunmekan, the
Divisional Head of Retail & Consumer Banking at Sterling Bank, stated, “These
awards reflect our steadfast dedication to empowering Nigerian entrepreneurs,
especially among youth and women.
