Manchester United suffered a 1-2 defeat against Brighton in an away match on Saturday, further highlighting their struggles from the previous season.
Last week, United secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Fulham
at Old Trafford, thanks to a late goal.
Brighton took the lead in the 32nd minute when Danny Welbeck
received a well-placed pass inside the penalty area and expertly finished past
the goalkeeper.
n the 59th minute, Welbeck demonstrated his awareness by
connecting with a cross from a free kick, but his powerful header went just
over the bar.
United equalized shortly after, in the 60th minute, when
Amad Diallo showcased his exceptional dribbling skills, maneuvering through
defenders to take a shot that deflected past a helpless Jason Steele, leveling
the score at 1-1.
Although United found the net again in the 70th minute, the
goal was disallowed for offside.
Brighton sealed their victory with a second goal in the fifth minute of stoppage time, as Joao Pedro capitalized on a cross from Simon Adingra, finishing brilliantly from close range to secure a 2-1 win.
