Nigerian-born UFC star Israel Adesanya, widely recognized as the Last Stylebender, has asserted that a significant number of women in Lagos are engaged in sex work, commonly referred to as "runs girls."

In a video posted on his official X account on Monday, he remarked that women in Lagos tend to flaunt their lifestyles, which are often funded by the earnings of prostitution.

The former UFC welterweight champion encouraged these women to adopt a more amiable and approachable demeanor rather than exhibiting arrogance.

Speaking in Yoruba, Adesanya stated, "Women in Lagos enjoy showcasing themselves and take pride in it. Many of you are involved in sex work. I understand what runs girls means now. Kobo kobo, ashewo."

“You want to show off. Keep posing and showing off. Nonsense. Just be nice, be friendly, say hi.”

It is important to note that Adesanya arrived in Lagos on the previous Wednesday to a cordial reception following his submission loss in the fourth round to Dricus Du Plessis from South Africa in their middleweight title showdown at UFC 305 in Perth on Saturday evening.
