The Golden Penny Soup Festival 2.0, generously sponsored by Golden Penny Semovita, successfully transformed the Ibadan Recreation Club into a culinary paradise on July 27th.

The event attracted an impressive turnout of over 8,000 attendees, who were treated to a delightful celebration of Nigerian cuisine. Various soup stalls showcased an array of beloved Nigerian soups, including Egusi, Banga, Ila Alasepo, and Efo Riro, all perfectly complemented by the delectable Semovita.

In addition to the delectable cuisine, the festival provided a diverse range of engaging activities. Culinary competitions and dance contests captivated the audience, while masterclasses conducted by renowned chefs Geena, Amaka, and Dee imparted culinary knowledge. A dedicated children's area ensured enjoyment for all age groups, featuring inflatable castles and face painting.

The event's ambiance was further enhanced by the presence of esteemed hosts KieKie and Password, complemented by musical performances from Crayon and Segun Johnson. Fortunate attendees were rewarded with prizes such as monetary rewards, kitchen appliances, and product hampers through a celebratory raffle draw.

Having successfully completed its second iteration, the Golden Penny Soup Festival has firmly established itself as a vibrant celebration of Nigerian culinary heritage, music, and community spirit.
