Sanusi has successfully obtained his doctorate degree with a flawlessly written dissertation.

His Highness Muhammadu Sanusi II, the Emir of Kano, has been conferred with a doctorate degree following the successful completion of his academic thesis, which was deemed to be of exceptional quality and did not require any revisions.

In an online ceremony, media personality Kadaria Ahmed shared the news of the Emir’s achievement, as his supervisors officially declared him a PhD holder.

During the session, one of the supervisors highlighted the remarkable accomplishment of the former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, who completed his research without the need for any corrections.

The examiner said Sanusi’s thesis “stands out” and prompted a “clear pass by two examiners”.

He said the Emir of Kano can tentatively be referred to as a doctorate holder “but has not been formally confirmed”.

He also appreciated Sanusi’s supervisors for their “guidance and processing formalities”.

“I am fortunate to be the first to congratulate Emir Sanusi, having passed his examination without any correction,” he said.

“His thesis stands out and has been passed by the two external examiners as it was submitted. So there is no further work to be done. It is a clear pass which has formed one of the options of the PhD.

“So congratulations to Dr Sanusi I can say as a preliminary it has not been confirmed formally yet. So there is still going to be the award ceremony.

“And then I want to congratulate your supervisors, in particular, your first supervisor, Prof. Mashood Baderin down to the associates, in terms of processing formalities.”

In her congratulatory message, Kadaria wrote: “Happy to report, our Khalifa, our King, HRH Muhammadu Sanusi II, is now also a Doctor having successfully done his Viva Voce.”

“His PhD was approved as submitted without any amendments or corrections.

“The examiners said congratulations Dr Sanusi! I am delighted to be able to join the examiners in congratulating Mai Martaba.”
