Chelsea remains interested in acquiring Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, but they are only prepared to pursue a loan arrangement, as reported by The Telegraph.
Napoli's president, Aurelio de Laurentiis, is waiting for
potential buyers to meet Osimhen's €130 million (£110.8 million) release
clause. Nevertheless, both Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are hesitant to
match that figure for the Nigerian forward.
Chelsea was on the verge of securing Samu Omorodion after
reaching a €40 million (£34.5 million) agreement with Atletico Madrid; however,
the transfer collapsed due to a disagreement over personal terms.
Consequently, Chelsea is now focusing on Osimhen, contingent
upon Napoli's willingness to consider an initial loan deal.
This situation may present a challenge, as Osimhen's agent,
Roberto Calenda, has already responded to rumors suggesting that the striker
could depart Napoli for a reduced fee.
