Celebrated Canadian artist Celine Dion has expressed that her legacy will be defined by her timeless hits, even if she were to cease performing in the near future.

The 56-year-old singer, who is currently facing health challenges, shared this insight during a recent interview with Smooth Radio.

“If you are fortunate enough to be associated with even one classic in your lifetime, you can be remembered for the entirety of your journey, even if you decide to stop singing tomorrow,” she remarked.

“I do not wish to come across as pretentious, but… I believe I am quite content!” Celine Dion made her first public appearance in some time at the 2024 Grammy Awards.

However, she marked her return to the stage after a four-year hiatus during the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, despite her ongoing struggle with stiff-person syndrome.

Recently, she described her condition as feeling akin to “being strangled,” noting that she frequently experiences cramps and has even suffered broken ribs.

Celine first alluded to her health issues in January when she canceled the North American leg of her Courage world tour, originally scheduled from March 9 to April 22, 2022.

This announcement followed her earlier cancellation of the commencement of her Las Vegas residency due to the same health concerns. Celine has earned the title of ‘Queen Of Las Vegas’ due to her immensely successful performances in the city.

After concluding her renowned residency at Caesars Palace in 2019, she was persuaded to return to Las Vegas to perform at the new Resorts World on the Strip.

Among Celine Dion’s iconic songs are ‘Love Can Move Mountains’ (1992), ‘The Power of Love’ (1993), ‘My Heart Will Go On’ (1997), ‘I’m Your Angel’ (1998), and ‘I’m Alive’ (2000).
