Afrobeat musician Divine Ikubor, better known by his stage name Rema, has released his eagerly awaited second album, titled “Heis.”

The 11-track album was released in the early morning hours of Thursday.

The latest release from Rema, titled “Heis,” comes after the successful debut album, “Rave & Roses,” which was launched in March 2022.

In the project, the 24-year-old rising star collaborated with renowned artists such as Shallipopi and Odumodublvck.

Prior to the album’s release, Rema introduced two pre-release singles, ‘Benin Boys’ and ‘Hehehe,’ to generate anticipation among fans.

In a lighthearted manner, he acknowledges his critics and assures them that their words will not deter him from his pursuit of financial success.

In addition to expressing pride in his accomplishments, Rema highlights the rich cultural heritage, values, and people of Benin in his song “Benin Boys.”

Additional tracks featured on the album are ‘March Am’, ‘Azaman’, ‘Yayo’, ‘Heis’, ‘Ozeba’, ‘War Machine’, ‘Egungun’, ‘Villain’, and ‘Now I Know’.


Rema, entered into a contractual agreement with D’Prince’s Jonzing World, a subsidiary of Mavin Records, in the year 2019.

Since the commencement of this agreement, Mr. Ikubor has firmly established himself as a prominent and influential figure within the African music industry.

At the 16th Headies, the artist received the accolades for ‘Best Male Artist’ and ‘Digital Artist of the Year’.

In December 2023, Rema was acknowledged as a prominent artist who significantly influenced the annual music charts in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) on Spotify.
