NFF is contemplating the possibility of appointing Hervé Renard as the new coach for the Super Eagles.

It has been reported that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has extended an offer to Herve Renard to assume the role of head coach for the Super Eagles.

The NFF is seeking a new leader following the resignation of Finidi George from the position.

Finidi has recently accepted a position with the Rivers United Football Club, a member of the Nigeria Premier League Football (NPFL).

As per the information provided by Santi Aouna, a reputable journalist from FootMercato, Nigeria has extended a lucrative offer to Renard, proposing an annual salary of €2 million.

Nigeria, however, will encounter competition from Egypt, who are also enthusiastic about the former Ivory Coast manager.

Hervé Jean-Marie Roger Renard  is a French professional football coach and former player who is the manager of the France women’s national team.

Renard has a proven track record of success in international football management. He led the Zambia national team to victory in the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations and repeated this feat with the Ivory Coast in 2015, becoming the first coach to win the tournament twice with different teams. Furthermore, he coached Morocco at the 2018 World Cup and served as the manager of Saudi Arabia from 2019 to 2023.
