Situated in Oyo State, the film village and resort
encompasses approximately 74 acres of land. It features thatched houses adorned
with drawings that depict the essence of Yoruba culture, along with a stable
housing horses and other animals.
The establishment, situated In a tranquil and aesthetically
pleasing location, provides a serene environment conducive to artistic
expression. It is also furnished with contemporary infrastructure, including
studios and cutting-edge equipment.
Since its inception, numerous filmmakers have utilized the
facilities at the film village. A television series titled “Eleran” was filmed
entirely within the film village, with the production team commending the
facilities and support personnel for their contributions to the enhancement of
the production’s quality.
Other motion pictures that have been filmed there include
Oko Iyabo and Ajoje.
Additionally, notable figures within the film industry,
including Deyemi Okanlawon, Muyiwa Ademola, Lateef Adedimeji, Iyabo Ojo,
Adebimpe Oyebade, Toyin Abraham, and Niyi Akinmolayan, have utilized the
location for their projects.
Recently, Abraham filmed scenes for her upcoming movie,
titled “Iyalode,” at the film village.
Chatta indicated that the village is still under
development, with plans to add various facilities in the future.
He had said, “This is just the beginning. We are not yet
done with this setup.”
In addition to serving as a filming location, the village
also offers various workshops and training programs designed to enhance the
skills and knowledge of filmmakers.
