The Afrobeat singer Davido’s album titled “Timeless” has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 450 million streams on the popular music streaming platform Spotify.
The album, released on March 31, 2024, has achieved
remarkable success, breaking numerous industry records, including becoming the
most streamed Nigerian album on Spotify. Hit singles such as “Unavailable,” “Feel,”
“Kante,” and “No Competition” have contributed to this achievement.
One of the album’s lead singles, titled “Unavailable” and
featuring Musa Keys, has surpassed an impressive milestone of 100 million
streams on Spotify. This achievement marks a significant first for Davido, as
it is the first lead song from his repertoire to reach this remarkable
streaming milestone.
The album garnered three Grammy nominations for Davido at
the 66th edition. With over 2 billion streams across all credits on
Spotify, he has become the sixth most streamed Nigerian artist on the platform.
The "Timeless" era concluded with the release of
the music video for “Kante” featuring Fave, signifying the culmination of a
prosperous year of touring.
