Andy Murray’s opening singles match at Wimbledon was
scheduled as the third contest on Centre Court on Tuesday.
Murray, a two-time champion at Wimbledon, has not yet
confirmed his participation in the tournament, which commenced on Monday. He
underwent surgery to remove a spinal cord cyst on June 22nd.
The 37-year-old Scottish player was scheduled to compete
against Tomas Machac in the opening round.
Mr. Murray is also registered to participate in the doubles
event alongside his elder brother, Mr. Jamie.
The tournament releases schedules one day in advance,
typically issued on Mondays at approximately 3:15 p.m. Murray indicated on
Sunday that he would require additional medical tests and a practice session on
Monday before making a decision regarding his participation against Machac.
