    African Artists’ Achievements Celebrated at BET Awards 2024: Tyla, Makhadzi, and Tems


    Following the BET Awards, Tyla, a South African musician, achieved remarkable success by securing victories in the categories of Best New Artist and Best International Act.

    The event, held at the renowned Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, California, commemorated a diverse range of musical talents and noteworthy accomplishments.

    Joining Tyla is South African star Makhadzi, who was honored with the Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act award. This recognition serves as a testament to Makhadzi’s extensive global popularity and the profound connection she has established with audiences worldwide.

    Also, Nigerian artist Tems achieved recognition at the recent award ceremony, receiving the Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award for her uplifting song "Me & U." This honor underscores the global appeal and spiritual impact of her music, transcending cultural boundaries.

    The 2024 BET Awards, hosted by the esteemed Taraji P. Henson, showcased an impressive lineup of performers, including renowned artists such as Lauryn Hill, Ice Spice, GloRilla, and Will Smith.
