    Africa Energy Expo 2024’s Comprehensive Program Attracts Renowned Speakers, Key Stakeholders Influencing Continent’s Energy Sector

    With two conference tracks featuring over 40 sessions, delegates will gain access to the exclusive insights of industry leaders on crucial matters within the energy sector.

    Informa Markets, the organizers of the inaugural Africa Energy Expo (AEE), are pleased to announce that government ministers from three African nations will participate as esteemed speakers at this groundbreaking energy event. The AEE will be held from November 4 to 6, 2024, at the Kigali Convention Centre in Rwanda.

    Esteemed delegates can anticipate engaging discussions with the Honorable Dr. Jimmy Gasore, Minister of Infrastructure for Rwanda; the Honorable Ibrahim Matola, Minister of Energy for Malawi; and the Honorable Tom Alweendo, Minister of Energy and Mines for Namibia. These esteemed individuals will join a distinguished panel of experts from across the continent for three days of insightful deliberations and thought-provoking exchanges aimed at reshaping the strategies employed by key stakeholders in navigating Africa's evolving energy landscape.

    Offering two conference tracks, the Technical Seminar and the exclusive Leadership Summit, encompassing over 40 sessions, delegates will gain access to industry leaders' unparalleled insights into critical energy sector issues.     The exclusive Africa Energy Leadership Summit seeks to foster partnerships and opportunities that will expedite targeted interventions and accomplish the goals and pillars outlined in the Africa Power Vision to Action initiative and, by extension, the Program for Infrastructure Development in Africa (PIDA) for a just, equitable, and fair energy transition.
    Topics under discussion include universal electrification and a policy framework to leverage the African single electricity markets; financing energy access in Africa and mitigating the risks associated with energy infrastructure projects; the role of innovation in driving last-mile rural electrification with decentralised renewable energy; carbon market mechanisms to drive investment; green hydrogen; and gas-to-power infrastructure, amongst others.

    The Africa Energy Leadership Summit, a paid conference, focuses on investments, integration, infrastructure, and governance to drive the energy transition. It convenes over 70 speakers and senior decision-makers committed to bridging the continent's energy and power infrastructure gap. The summit fosters partnerships and opportunities to expedite targeted energy and power initiatives.
