The Africa Social Impact Summit (ASIS) 2024 is set to become a truly global event, with participants registered from more than 50 countries across the globe. This diverse representation emphasizes the summit’s worldwide appeal and its importance as the leading platform for sustainable development in Africa. The summit is scheduled to take place on July 25th and 26th at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos.
The extensive participation underscores the summit’s role in
fostering international cooperation to tackle the critical issues facing the
continent. Delegates from West Africa will include representatives from
Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Gambia, Togo, Burkina Faso, Sierra
Leone, and Guinea. East Africa will witness participation from Kenya, Uganda,
Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia, and Somalia. Central Africa will be represented by
Congo – Kinshasa, Congo – Brazzaville, Chad, and Cameroon. Southern Africa will
have delegates from South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Malawi,
Madagascar, and Lesotho, while North Africa will be represented by Morocco and
Algeria.
On an international level, countries such as the United
States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, France, Denmark, Belgium, Austria,
Italy, Switzerland, Slovenia, and Albania will also be present. This global
involvement underscores the significance of ASIS as an inclusive platform
committed to identifying sustainable solutions to Africa’s challenges.
ASIS, co-hosted by the Sterling One Foundation and the
United Nations, is structured to be a collaborative forum where stakeholders
from diverse sectors can create and execute initiatives that propel social and
economic advancement. The summit’s alignment with the 2030 Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs) aims to advance sustainable solutions through
strategic partnerships and innovative approaches.
