Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, on Thursday, hinted that he may not produce another album after the next one.

Davido has been in the news lately for his online brawl with his colleague, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid.

He was online again on Thursday night, this time, while reacting to some recent doctored pictures of his, the ‘Unavailable’ crooner claimed that some persons desperately want him out of the industry.

“Yall niggas want me out the game that bad ?? Oya after next album I no do again. So una fit get peace,” he wrote on his X handle.

Davido’s post comes a few days after he lamented the “absence of peace in the music industry”.

On Wednesday, the singer dropped visuals for “Kante” featuring super gifted singer, Fave, off his “Timeless” album.

Directed by Dammy Twitch, the video seamlessly blends scenes of Davido and Fave taking centre stage in a club setting with vibrant, eye-catching locations.

Davido announced the “Kante” video marked the end of the “Timeless” era as he looked at many more milestones.’

Davido made this revelation days back, while sharing the video of ‘Kante’ featuring Fave, which was one of the standout tracks from the Grammy-nominated album.

He appreciated his family and fans for their unwavering support, noting that their support has been the backbone of the era.

The singer said he’s looking forward to a new era of new music and new milestones.

“Dropping the ‘Kante’ video today, and I’m flooded with emotions. This isn’t just a release, it marks the end of our ‘Timeless’ era. From every ticket sold to every city we visited, your love and energy turned every moment into history. 

We’ve faced everything from sold-out shows and sleepless nights to the highest of highs and lowest of lows and through it all, God kept us standing! To my fans and family – Thank you is not enough. Your support has been the backbone of this era. As we close this chapter, know that you fueled our journey,” Davido wrote on IG.

In the last decade, the singer has delivered hundreds of chart-topping singles like ‘Gobe’, ‘One of a Kind’, ‘Skelewu’, ‘Aye’, ‘Owo Ni Koko’, ‘If’, ‘Fall’, ‘Fia’ and ‘Assurance’ among others.

He put out albums ‘A Good Time’ and ‘A Better Time‘ n 2019 and 2020 respectively.

Davido released ‘Timeless’, his fourth album which comprised 17 tracks, on March 31, 2023.

He is one of the most-followed African artistes on social media platforms.
